WiFi doesn't work. Door took me 10 tries to get open due to faulty handle that seems to work randomly up or down. Big room but older decor. Nice fridge and microwave with sink. Carpet has stains. Seems clean though. Classic 2 star hotel. Would not stay here again. .Better value at other places.
Good location to get to everything in Gulf Shores and for the price it's a must stop. Only downfall was they need to steam clean the carpet.
My husband and I just spent the last 2 nights there.we loved it!!! The location was great,the room was clean ant the bed was comfortable. The price was the best, the only reason foe 4 stars instead of 5 is because it has carpet and I don't like carpet
I WAS CHARGED $50 FOR A STAIN THAT NEVER EXISTED! The room smelled like straight mildew. The ceiling tiles had mold visible. Then the cockroaches...walking on the BED! Never mind I couldn't find any fitness center or spa on the grounds, the breakfast consists of little Debbie cinnamon rolls and you can't even get to coffee till seven, so I bought my own coffee for the coffee maker in the room and the manager called while I was at work to tell me there was a coffee spill on the bed and I had to pay a $50 cleaning fee despite the fact no coffee was ever spilled, and even if it was, the sheets are washable and should be washed after each guest. I assume that's not a regular practice since they charge for sheet cleaning!! I ended up changing hotels over the made up coffee spill, and I'm calling both the health department and code enforcement over the mold!
Clean rooms. Clean towels. Hot water. Rooms are basic with minimal amenities. Was there a week and had to request for housekeeping and clean towels. There were at least 4 days when I didn't get any housekeeping. Apparently, my room was not the only one overlooked. Another gentleman was equally dissatisfied with his room for the same reason. The day desk attendant commented that "people complain too much" after he requested compensation for his inconvenience, as she hands me the clean towels I have to physically get myself for the lack of housekeeping. If you can, stay at the Microtel up the street. Much nicer rooms and much friendlier staff. This was my first/ last stay.
