Went with my son and my mother. My son and are from the panhandle of FL and my mother is local. We have eaten seafood as children into adulthood. I ordered the pecan crusted whitefish and the texture of the whitefish was gelatinous mush that tasted off. Was obviously not fresh. Easily the worst fish I have eaten in my life. I sent my dish back and ordered the grilled shrimp and scallops skewers with 4 of each on each skewer with green beans and new potatoes for $20. Again suspect they were frozen but then were served basted in a strange tangy sauce. Green beans were overcooked and soggy. New potatoes were served whole with no salt, seasoning or butter. My mother ordered coconut shrimp. They were also overcooked to the point where it was impossible to tell the difference between the shrimp and the breading. They also came out soaked in oil. Son ordered the seafood platter, but later felt ill. He said that the food tasted as if it had been fried in old oil. Obviously a high-priced tourist trap. I ended up paying over $50 for two people.
Great location on the dunes just off the beach. Parking lot is small but it didn't seem to be a problem as the place was packed. We were seated almost right away, just in front of a group of 30. Our waitress was helping them, us, and several other tables and did a fantastic job. The royal reds were great as were my wife's peel and eat shrimp. Overall excellent experience.
My family loves Bahama Bob's! We've been coming to eat here for the last 15 years. It didn't let us down this year! The crab claws are a great way to start your meal! The popcorn shrimp is my favorite and the portion is enough for two. My hubby had the fried white fish and he said it was delicious. Always a fun evening!
Right on the beach and great food. Had the fried coconut shrimp and it was great. The sweet sauce that comes with it was outstanding too! Not a lot of parking right at the restaurant but there is beach Access parking right next door and across the street.
Great food! Service was awesome! Couldn't be more pleased! Wife had Bobs burger and I had big kahuna steak. Well worth every cent. Will be back again in our future! Our server... Didn't catch his name was very accommodating and was vary informative. Great experience! Was right on the beach to boot!
