They were very nice ,would use them again
DO NO RENT FROM THIS GROUP UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED UNFAIRLY AND ILLEGALLY.
Unfair, dishonest, and crooked are the first words that come to mind.
Most of the people who were "evicted" were most likely spring breakers who were too loud or usually underage or had "five extra kids". There are rules and laws that prevents people under 21 from renting in some areas as well. If they lied in the application process and its proven later that they are under aged...Well,they gotta go! Its the law ! Also, Meyer is paid to protect the rights and property of the homeowners as well, so, If your child is down here acting irresponsible then it is their job to evict them! Respect from both parties will work best! Be a decent person and follow the rules and you will have a great time!
Common sense says leave your sandy shoes and such by the door to keep from tracking it inside the condo. Meyer and Madarin say take all that sand right on in the condo with you. Common sense says dry your towels on the bannister because that's what you've done every other time you've been in Gulf Shores, and it's better for the environment than running the dryer a million times. Meyer and Madarin say use the dryer because they really don't care about the environment or energy conservation. Common sense says if it doesn't belong to you, and you don't know what the deal is with it that you keep your grubby hands off of it. Meyer and Madarin say throw any and everything away even if it's not yours if it's sitting in a place you don't like it sitting, and by all means don't ever notify the rightful owner that you're going to toss it or have tossed it.
Great experience will use again next time joeh
Due to the staff's inability to keep their hands off of guests property, I now have an 11 y/o who's plans to share his vacation discovery with his friends and classmate are now completely and totally ruined. If you make an awesome discovery on the beach and want to keep it, do NOT set it beside your door. No matter how obvious you may think it is that it isn't trash. No custodian in their right mind is going to find a fully intact ALLIGATOR SKULL by someone's door and think it's trash. That defies freakin logic. I guess someone just accidentally dropped an ALLIGATOR SKULL right here by someone's door.
It has been the worst rental and management company I have ever dealt with on any vacation I've taken my family on....ever....
I know this means nothing to you from our conversation, but I wanted to follow-up our conversation with a lesson in common sense. It's obviously lacking in your staff.
The agent bordered on extortion, demanding photos of every person's credit card or he would call the police. He also admitted that the only damage he could find was a missing remote control and a broken picture frame. There were no warnings given. He just showed up at the house in the middle of the day, counted 9 people sitting in the living room, said that the unit was for occupancy of 6, and evicted them all on the spot. The other three people were there visiting, not staying overnight. There was no reasoning with this man. He came there knowing he was going to evict and it didnt matter what the reality of the situation was, he did just that. He took a full weeks rent, after the house was used for 2 nights, $1500 damage, cleaning fee, and photos of everyone's credit card.
According to several online reviews, and my conversation with manager relations, our experience is common. This group rents houses out with the sole intent of evicting young people, charging full damages in the thousands, and then rerenting the unit.
Thanks for nearly ruining what was supposed to be a great time.
Our experience has been nothing shy of completely and totally pathetic thanks in large part to the handling of Issues by the less than helpful staff at Meyer and the less than responsible property management of Madarin. We are less than pleased and guarantee our next stay in Gulf Shores, if there is one, will be double checked to insure that we do not have to deal with Meyer Rentals or Madarrin Management again.
