OK, prepare for sincere snark less review: great food, great service, locals aplenty and the best seafood pasta ever. The place is a post-Ivan 2004 remodel where KN must have *tried* to look dumpy. Succeeding there, the menu was huge. Often a liability, but not here. Fried green tomatoes were very good. Fried mushrooms were very good. Fried mega platter has light sweet batter worth repeating. Too much food for one person and sharing. The pasta dish, Zydeco deserves its own food truck show. Excellent! Bisque was meh. Reasonable prices and great to see lots of locals. Plus aged waitstaff is very welcome in this college-drinker-come lately town.
Delicious, fresh great oysters on the half shell, fried shrimp, and fried catfish basket. Quick service. Had a 10 minute wait, but was able to see 4 tables opening up, so it 2asnt long before we were seated. Love King Neptune's!
Gumbo was excellent. Bisque was "lick the bowl" fantastic. Fish tacos were great. Best hush puppies I've had so far. Chad was friendly and very helpful. A bit pricey, but it's seafood and well worth it.
I would have rated 3.5 stars but app doesn't allow. The regular lunch and dinner menu looks good but have not tried yet. Will go back and check them out. We had the lunch special of one meat and four sides...great deal with free tea. For the resort area this is a good deal.
Great food & service...big portions for reasonable prices.. Bar included...but kid friendly.
First time visit for lunch...food was good, staff very friendly, service not speedy but food is cooked to order so not pre-made.
